Collaboration
This documentation explains the collaboration features within the Hostless provider application. Hostless allows you to invite other users to collaborate on your Hostless applications, granting them access to manage deployments, workers, logs, and other functionalities depending on their assigned roles.
Inviting Collaborators
Hostless provides a user management interface for inviting collaborators to your application. Here's a general overview of the process:
- Access User Management: Navigate to
Settings
tab to see collaboration settings. - Invite User: Look for an option to invite new collaborators. This involves providing an email address associated with the collaborator's Hostless account.
- Assign Role: When inviting a collaborator, Hostless typically assigns the collaborator role to the user. This defines their access permissions within your Hostless application.
Collaborator Roles
Hostless currently offers two(2) roles with different permission levels. These roles include:
- Owner: Has full access to manage all aspects of the Hostless application, including deployments, workers, configurations, and collaborator management.
- Collaborator: Can manage deployments, access logs, workers, cron jobs, metrics but cannot make changes to app configurations.
Please note: The specific roles and their associated permissions might vary depending on your Hostless version.
Accessing Collaborators
Hostless provides a list of all collaborators currently invited to your application. This list typically displays information such as the collaborator's email address, assigned role, and status of collaboration.
Removing Collaborators
If necessary, you can remove collaborators from your Hostless application on the collaboration setting view. This action revokes their access to the application and its functionalities based on their previously assigned role. It can only be performed by the owner of the application
